Martha Shinn

Martha is the Congregational Liaison of the Missing Voices Project. She will be the primary point of contact for the congregations offering guidance, support, and pastoral care.

Martha has had a passion and a long history with Youth Ministry for the past 45 years. She taught the classes for the Youth Ministry Minor at Flagler College for over 30 years. She directed the program the last 25 years before her retirement in 2015. Before that she served as the Area Director for Young Life St. Augustine for 7 years. Since she left full time Young Life staff she has served as a volunteer in various Young Life ministries and is currently a volunteer for Young Life Capernaum. Martha also has worked as a trainer for Young Life with New Staff Associates over her career. She also served on the local Young Life Board for over 30 years. Martha currently works part time for Brad Layland and the Focus Group as a coach with a pastoral emphasis. Martha is married to Walter Shinn and they have a grown son Wes who is married to Keiko and they have a granddaughter, Hana and a grandson Elias who live in Virginia.
